Scalp psoriasis

Hi all, I've had psoriasis since I was 13 and am now 20. My first flare came March last year covering 80-90% of my body, I was put on Methotrexate by the specialist at hospital but have since been taken off last month due to liver function tests. Since then it's coming back thick and fast and my face which is the only place never effected, im struggling mostly with my face and scalp and wondered if anyone was able to pass advice, anything that's worked for them? I've tried Diprosalic, co-cois and dermovate scalp gel but nothing likes to work...

Hi, my scalp psoriasis was embarrassingly flaky and I had small sores that scabbed over and would come away with little clumps of hair. I was prescribed Betacap scalp ointment and Capasal shampoo. After about six months, I could wear black again. And can now get by just using the shampoo. I can't suggest anything for the face though. At its worst, mine looked like I'd bobbed for apples in a deep fat fryer. That lasted for about six months, and only cleared up when I had a toxic reaction to meds, and all my skin fell off head to toe. It was a horrific episode, but amazingly, the psoriasis did not come back on the new skin on my face. I really feel for sufferers who have it on their face. I had to hide away for months, only leaving the house for hospital appointments. i hope you get better soon.

Thank you for your response, I haven't tried them so might ask when I go to the hospital next if I don't have luck with systemic treatment again... I've just started Enstilar and it is brilliant for my body but obviously cannot be used on my face, head or ears which is a bit depressing! Black is like my favourite colour to wear and it's a nightmare flaking everywhere. Thank you so much for your comment, hopefully I can try the same and see if this helps at all!
