Hi my name is Stewart Mears, I'm a registered Operating Department Practitioner working with in the operating theatres.
I work for myself through agencies, I'm currently posted at a hospital in Birmingham. In March of this year I take a full time position at a local hospital in Nottinghamshire.
I was challenged today because of my condition and it's possible effect on patients within one of my roles of Scrub. This means assisting the surgeon with in the procedure.
Any thoughts?

Unless you have exposed infected areas of skin that will shed onto the patient (which of course would not be exposed in theatre conditions) I cannot see any reason for complaint.
If this should occur again, I suggest you challenge the person in question and ask for the reasons to be listed.
This to me sounds like someone sniping for the sake of sniping and they should learn tolerance.
