Hi
I have psoriasis over my legs and arms and find it excruciatingly embarrassing to say the least. It is actually in a pretty good state at the moment being under the control of medication so I felt brave enough to go and have a full leg wax. I have had this done before (not for a few years at least) and never with a problem. If anything I find my skin is better after because the dead layer of skin is removed in the process. Today, however, I felt humiliated when a new therapist and her trainer advised they would have to work around the psoriasis for health and safety reasons. It made me feel so uncomfortable as it drew even more attention to the areas of psoriasis. I'm not sure how I didn't just walk out. Has anyone else experienced anything similar? Is it usual for a therapist to refuse to wax if psoriasis is present?
Would be grateful to hear your experiences re waxing.
Thanks.
Claire
