Hello all,
I have had psoriasis for about 10 years. Small patches on my legs and my elbows, and then about six months ago I started having a mild flare up so I went to the dermatologist.
He put me on the light treatment and said it would take 8 treatments to show results and 20 treatments to be fixed.
On the third treatment, they upped the power by 15%. Within 24 hours, I had psoriasis all over my arms and my legs. Within 72 hours, it was on my torso, my back, and the tops of my feet and hands.
I went for a follow up and they said It was "guttate" psoriasis and that it sometimes happens due to a viral infection that you might not know you have.....
Has anyone heard of this? I'm almost embarassed to be seen in public...

When i was first diagnosed they said it was guttate and it was caused by a throat infection i had but reading they say it can turn into other forms which is what i have ended up with, you may find clears up in time though when your body gets rid of any throat infection.
