Posted Fri 16 Jun 2017 09.43 by gingermonkey For several years...drives me mad but won't bring me down.
Been to three pharmacies in Huddersfield and Barnsley area.
Showing Enstilar as out of stock on all systems.
One said it could be that they are no longer making it, another said this could be because they are changing packaging and therefore stocks being run low. Other one said try Boots as they are outside the Alliance...all of these excuses are lame and I suspect dishonest or ill-informed..
Doctor told me three months ago that the support for certain "branded" treatments was being withdrawn (his words). This was after I had to complain about being refused Enstilar despite prior use and a specialist advising it's use. He agreed to write the script but said go out of area to pick it up. Clearly something is changing and no one is being honest about it.
Seems too much of a coincidence that all of a sudden they are pushing back to dovobet again in this area. Also seems to me that CCG are quietly removing treatments and pharmacists are complicit in this, It's outrageous that you can find a treatment that offers some relief and yet it can be taken away for no good reason, we all know that the method of application for Enstilar means a more effective response.
Better stock up, CCG are cutting back.
Fed up and angry - had a big flare recently and this is just making the stress worse.

We have the same problem in West Sussex with Trimovate cream which only comes in 30gm tubes, so a script for 120gms (4 tubes) soon depletes the pharmacy stocks.
A week ago my doc rung around for me and ended up giving me 4 scripts for 4 different chemists where each only had one tube left.
Yes, summat is definitely going on!!
