Flaky, breaky head, manky hands, don't you just love psoriasis!

Have had PPP for 13yrs, luckily not on my feet, scalp very itchy too and my ears drive me MAD!! I didn't know it was psoriasis in my ears till today when I chanced upon this website. How glad I am to read other peoples conditions and realise there is an explanation for my itchy, itchy ears. Thank you all for the info gained today. I also am waiting for test reults to confirm I now have psoriatic arthritis, I have most of the sumptoms. It is good to know I'm not alone and there is an explanation about my ears.

Ive known I have psoriatic arthritis for a year and only then found out that ive had it in my toe joints, nails and on my skin for over 20 years. Its great to finally find out what it is but im finding it is progressing rather rapidly over the past year to places I didn't have it. Good luck with your results.

I have psoriasis on my body and scalp

I am now waiting to go to see a specialist about my psoriasis, but I have also been having problems with my feet and knees and have had very swollen toes. I showed positive for something in blood tests, which is the reason my GP referred me to hospital. I just wondered what sort of symptoms everyone else has? Some of my symptoms sound like psoriasis arthritis. Thank you

My symptoms started with skin psoriasis in my hair as a young teenager and then my pubic region. My thumb on one hand and all of my toes swelled not long after but dr said I was too young for arthritis and had probably banged them. By late teens I noticed my nails started to look loose and discoloured but was told this was nail fungus and tried all sorts of antifungal treatments. When I was in my young twentys I started with a stiff neck and unable to turn fully a physio therapist told me that two vertebrae were sticking together. In my mid thirties my knee swelled out of nowhere and was increasingly difficult to walk on. At first the dr said it was a sprain. I saw a different dr months later and he put the lot together and suggested it was psoriasis. I had test and xrays and saw a rheumatologist

Scalp and hands

Hello, I'm new to this site, I have now been diagonised with scalp Psoriasis, which has been very painful, and very tender, as anyone else had this. After reading your comment about ear psoriasis, I have had terrible itching, dry skin in my ears for years, nobody has every told me what it is, so have took upon myself to put Olive Oil in my erars every night. Would love to know if anyone else has scalp Psoriasis.

Early 50s, PsA and Meniere's disease. PsA issues since teens; Dx 30s; current issues - spine, hands, knees, ankles, feet and toes.

I was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis in my early 30s but had PsA issues from my teens. I'm now in my early 50s and the PsA has worsened in my hands, feet and my knee is giving me problems too. It seems to be worse on the right side of my body. In addition, a recent X-ray shows that I have quite a lot of wear and tear in my neck. I've got trapped nerves and a lot of altered sensations in both hands. I also have Meniere's disease which has damaged my hearing. I cannot tolerate a hearing aid as my skin in the ear canal and behind the ears is a problem - an audiologist said that I have very dry skin in the ear canal and around the ear drum too. I forgot to mention to him that I have PsA.

Hello everyone. I was diagnosed with psoriasis in November 16 and then with arthritis in February 17 , both predominantly in my feet and hands . The hospital Doctor ordered x rays and then said I didn't need to see a Rheumatologist as the x ray showed the existence of arthritis but not psoriatic arthritis. I expected to see a Rheumatologist though as I thought x rays aren't definite proof as to whether or not psoriatic arthritis is present; I would be glad to know your thoughts as to whether you think I am being reasonable in wanting to see a Rheumatologist about this or whether I should just accept what the Doctor said and leave things as they are. I've tried asking my GP to refer me but they say to ask the Hospital Doctor and vice versa so I feel like I'm just being passed back and fore and not getting anyway but not sure if I should persevere in trying to get a referral. Sorry this post is so long but if anyone has any advice or info for me on this it would really help. Many thanks. April.
