Hello, I'm new to this site. I'm october 2012 my daughter began to get several pus filled spots on her scalp, I took her to the doctors who told me it was a fungal infection. I was prescribed 3 different medications after each one failed to make any difference, now after almost a year its suddenly not fungal anymore and now apparently its scalp psoriasis, she was given a cream from the hospital to leave on for 2 hours then a shampoo to wash it off with, we were doing this every 3 days for about 2 months and it hasn't made the slightest difference, her head bleeds, its scabby, dry, scaly and still spotty, we have our follow up appointment on the 16th but the scalp is exactly the same, also its caused bald patches, its very upsetting as she's only 2 and her hair will not grow, its not even long enough to tie it up, and has several bald patches, I can't take her out without a hat on because to be quite honest she looks neglected, despite me efforts! I just don't know what to do anymore!! She is in agony every time I brush it. What can I do?

Hi, Sorry to hear your little one is that badly affected. I feel for you I have a 3 year old son, who had very bad eczema when he was only a baby with weeping , infected sores on his little cheeks and I felt helpless. At least you are seen by a specialist, who will follow up and offer different treatment if this is not working. I was stuch with a "determined" GP who did not refer us anywhere and I had to take him abroad to see a specialist! It is difficult due to her age but I am sure a proper dermatologist will offer you other options as well. Try not to brush her hair and cut it short to avoid distress. At her age that is what matters anyway. You are using hats, and little scarfs are actually looking really in these days. Good luck with the next treatment option.

I recommend ointment that has :-
Clobetasol propionate.
Salicylic acid.
Methyl paraben.
Propyl paraben.
Ointment base.
In 4 or 5 day you'll be fine. Ok thanks
