Hi,
I've just started a 6 week course in Cupping and Acupuncture. My mum swears that if she stuck to it 32 years ago it would've cleared up her psoriasis so i'm giving it a go. Had my first treatment Tuesday so will keep you updated!

Just wanted to update you Holly1. I've only had 2 sessions of Acupuncture and Cupping and the results are actually amazing, for the first time in a long time I feel like my P is clearing significantly. Its a lot less red and itchy and is really clearing. I've got 4 more sessions booked in then will aim to have it every month as is so expensive!

So. I finished my 6 week course of Acupuncture and cupping on 27th Feb. I wanted to give it a couple of months see how things went. I'm doing nothing different to what I was doing before I had the treatment and I can now say I have no Psoriasis anywhere. Completely gone. I was absolutely covered before and I went I say covered I mean I had more psoriasis than I had normal skin mostly on my limbs face a scalp but I did have it on my body also.
The treatment is pricey but 100% worth it. This time 4 months ago my depression and anxiety was through the roof because of my skin but now, just in time for the warmer weather I can confidently get my skin out. I just wish I could put picture up to show you all before and after results.
Hi Hayley,
Was it wet cupping you had where they draw out stagnant blood?
Where did you find out where to go for treatment? I’m interested in trying this but don’t want to go to someon not trained properly x

Hi Indepica,
I had acupuncture and then cupping so I'm not 100% sure.
I had acupuncture for fertility a couple of years ago so I went to the same lady as she actually specialises in skin. I'd do some research and then find out where you can go locally then have a look at what certificates they hold (this is what I did when I went for fertility)
I can honestly say this has work for me 100% I finished a 6 week course on the 25th of feb still with a few patches but over the 2 weeks that followed my psoriasis has completely gone and I don't have any patches now. I wish I could put pictures on here to show.I knoiw now if iver get a flare up im going straight back to acupuncture!

Wet-cupping has no more proof of efficacy than blood-letting did a few hundred years ago.
You are merely damaging your already sensitive skin (by cutting it with a scalpel) and risking infection AND possibly even promoting additional sites for psoriasis. (I have observed over the years that a graze or scrape or cut often forms a psoriasis plaque ).
Hi Hayley I recently bumped into your forum discussion about cupping and I’m really interested in knowing where you did it, I have been suffering from psoriasis for the last 30 years, and I’m beginning to get out of hope, can you pls tell me where is this lady I live in Algiers North Africa but I’m ready to go anywhere to beat this thing 😣

Hi all
I have tried cupping for my P. I found that when they cut my skin with a scalpel it my P in that area deterioated. Shame as i felt good with cupping 😓

i tried this in my 20s when i was struggling desperately with my P. It was expensive and I was convinced to commit fully and give up on my prescribed medication.
Ended up at the lowest point of my life. Had to take time off work when i literally couldn't deal with the pain showering, Didnt leave the house & hid away other than getting light treatment which gave me respite for a year or so.
Left me deeply skeptical of any alternative treatment.

According to studies Moving cupping therapy has shown good clinical efficacy in the treatment of plaque psoriasis; it can significantly relieve skin inflammation and excessive thickening of plaque psoriasis and has fewer side effects. after the coming of electric hijama cupping devices, we can do the therapy ourselves at home. recently I bought a product named HijaMate® for my wife as she has back pain after the pregnancy delivery. so far so good.
you can take a look into that product here if it is best suitable for you.
