How long typically does a flare up last ?

Hi I’m newly diagnosed PSA. In my first real flare up affecting left toe joints, right shoulder, neck and right hand. Only taking Ibuprofen at the moment whilst awaiting my first appointment with the Rheumatologist. Any sort of guidance people can give on how long a flare lasts or is this it and I’ll just get progressively worse? Appreciate any feedback given.

I have psoriasis on about 1/3 of my body...have had it for over 10 years and its getting worse.

I was given Naproxen for such pain. The pain ( in my lower right back and hip ) had lasted several weeks, and went away within 3 days of starting a course of Naproxen...and has not returned. For several years now I've had recurring pains, in legs, back, or hip, always on my right side. Can last for several months and nearly always in the summer months. Fortunately this year's bout only lasted a few weeks.

Hello. Initially all my pains would last 24/48 hours. Now (10 years later) some pains last longer and in more areas. I am in-between meds so I don't mean to frighten you. The answer is unknown I believe. I currently have a locked shoulder, feels like I've broken it and has been this way for 3 weeks. I can't drive or pick up my babies. I hope you feel better soon x
