Psoriasis and hair loss

Hi All, I've finally been diagnosed with psoriasis on my scalp after over 3 years of discomfort. Unfortunately during this time, the psoriasis seems to have affected my hair quality which has caused nearly half of my hair to break at around shoulder length. Whilst I know this could be a lot worse, I've found this particularly difficult to deal with as I used to have such lovely long thick hair, and already lacking self-confidence, this has really affected me. Has anyone had a similar side effect of psoriasis? If so, are there any remedies out there which might help please? I'll try anything! : /
