Hi, I have had a quick google but no luck. I made the decision to stop taking acitretin roughly two weeks ago in aid of diet and acupuncture, my skin is pretty good right now but I cant work out if getting worse slowly. Acitretin gave me dry lips and made my P worse, my dry lips have gone and redness has died down. Small areas have continued to heal but a few have gone a bit red. Trying to work out if this is now the diet doing this.

I found this if it helps: Acitretin : A Review of its Pharmacology and Therapeutic Use Tania Pilkington 1, Rex N Brogden 1 Affiliations expand PMID: 28421560 DOI: 10.2165/00003495-199243040-00010 Abstract Synopsis: Acitretin (etretin), a second generation monoaromatic retinoid . . . . . . "Acitretin is less lipophilic than etretinate, and its lack of sequestration into 'deep' fatty storage sites is reflected in a comparatively short terminal elimination half-life of 50 to 60 hours, compared with 120 days for etretinate." Seems to indicate a fairly fast elimination. 50-60 hours to be half-gone.
