Silkis cream

I had a really great result using this cream after seeing a dermatologist for the first time since having P, my question is about maintenance, I use silkis with a mild steroid and it does work very well BUT when my plaques clear up I stop using it and slowly the plaques return. I can't find anything about how to maintain the clear skin, like should I be still putting the cream and steroid on to clear skin? I am due at my 6 monthly derma appointment in a few weeks but just wanted to see if anyone else has found a solution to this!
