Hi partner diagnosed with psoratic arthitis last Nov, been on methotrexate for 6 months and recently started sulphasalazine, been feeling sick quite a lot so now waiting to start meth injections. He not in major pain but uncomfortable and stiff and very tired all the time, at present the weather is reasonable but am dreading the winter months arriving. What I would like to know is people's thoughts on working( partner a skip lorry driver, and continuously gets wet during winter months)and how should I help him cope, I currently try to keep his spirits up but gets hard when seeing him down in the dumps , tired and uncomfortable all the time......don't know how we will cope if he has to have time off work etc. Been told he will never get better but the treatment should stop this thing in its tracks, so he should never get worse but stay as they are. Joints currently affected are fingers , wrists and knees and he is now waiting for referral to physio......your advice would be much appreciated folks
