Psoriasis and Itchiness

I've often found that its only the new areas, particularly on legs or around my middle, that itch from psoriasis, and the older areas that have been there a long time don't themselves itch much...but, often the skin immediately around older areas, that is itself psoriasis free, can itch a lot if scratched even a little bit.
