Hello,
I wanted to get your advice on natural remedies I can use to help with my face psoriasis. I’m using vasaline for the extra dry bits but that unfortunately leaves my face with horrible red patches. It’s quite bad. I did find a natural cream and managed to reduce redness and lock in moisture but the doctor told me to stop it immediately as it contains essential oils that may harm the baby.
I’m also looking for tips and suggestions for a foundation to use that helps work cover up? I’m trying to keep my skin dry free but the vasaline just isn’t enough and my skin looks dreadful with foundation on.
Any advice please as this is really getting me down.
Thanks :) Alexis

I have had plaque psoriasis on my fingers & on my feet, quite severe at times. My fingers used to be so sensitive, that they would crack quite easily. I have found relief with topical application of CBD oil. It's expensive - $90 for a 40 mil bottle in Canada, and it's not covered by drug plans. In a little over 1 year, I would say that it has cleared up my hands & feet by over 90%. I would try CBD oil if you can get some. Try a small are to begin with. As CBD oil is used more and more, I am sure that it will relieve symptoms of a lot of afflictions. In Canada, we need a medical prescription to buy it from a producer.
I have uploaded before & after photos here: http://www.normtoogood.ca/psoriasis.htm
Good luck!
Hi Alexis,
Don’t use Vaseline as that is a barrier not an actual moisturiser. Try E45 cream, really though you need to go to your gp and get some proper cream prescripted. As for make up - Estee launder double wear - maximum coverage would be great to hide the red patches x

Thanks Becki, I find that E45 doesn’t quite ‘cut it’ if that makes sense? My dry patches are still there, even after using Vaseline.
Thanks for the makeup tip!
Scouternorm - unfortunately I can’t take any special creams, especially CBD as they deem a risk to the pregnancy.
Sorry, I only realised you mentioned pregnancy after I posted. I use QV moisturising cream, which you can get on prescription in England. That’s a really good one! x
