Hi,
I recently developed an infection, that I assume to be cellulitis, underneath a plaque and some of the surrounding skin.
I went to the GP and they gave me a 7 day course of clarithromycin.
Has anyone had this issue before with plaques causing an infection?

I have not personally had such an issue, but given that plaques can bleed, it does not seem at all unlikely to me that any of them could become a source or sources of infection.
When mine are bad, I use Oilatum Plus in an only-moderately warm bath, as it contains an antiseptic. I am sure that your GP or pharmacist ought to be able to help with advice.
