Could it be?

Living with Psoriasis and PSA :(

Hey everyone I’m new here. I’m Lisa 35 and have suffered from psoriasis for 25 years now. I was in an accident in 2009 which left me in pain pretty much every day since then, I’ve had numerous xrays in the past which they said I have bone spurs that are trying to fuse over. I had trouble with “flare ups” during my monthly cycle so the Dr recommended a hysterectomy. Had that in April this year yet still have flare ups almost every month. Every day I am stiff in the mornings and in pain with my back and pelvis/hip and also get frequent knee flare ups. My nails are also really bad to the extent I no longer wear them natural as they are so thick and pitted and coming away from my nail bed. I also had my big toenails removed because of it a few years ago. I got fed up after my recent flare up that I googled my symptoms (I know I shouldn’t) and it pointed me to the direction of psoriatic arthritis. I went to the Dr who done blood tests that have came back okay however he is sending me to see a rheumatoid specialist. Could this be the answer to why I feel like this? Any feedback would be great. Thank you in advance.

Just to let you know, there is no specific blood test to diagnose psoriatic arthritis, or to rule it out. They tend to diagnose it based on absence or other markers - eg rheumatoid arthritis, and based on symptoms . . eg psoriasis elsewhere being one of them.

Thank you. Yeah my doctor did say there was no specific test for it. Thank you for your reply :)
