Nail psoriasis and triamcinolone injections

Hello I have pretty bad psoriasis under 7 of my fingernails (onycholysis) which I've had for over 5 years now. I'm due to have triamcinolone injections in two weeks and was wondering if anyonre else had tried this? Also,ive heard that its very painful..... is it as bad as described?! Thank you Laura
