Not being able to see a rheumatologist because of covid

Hi
I was diagnosed in January after years of joint problems including surgery and had x rays and blood tests. My issue is it’s now nearly September and I have had no follow up or communication since. I was supposed to have a review in May. I contacted the hospital but they are not dealing with rheumatology queries, it’s an answerphone service that is monitored 2 times a day. Is anyone else having this problem it is very frustrating!

i have been waiting for an appointment since February with a nerve specialist as my medication ( acitretin ) caused me to have severe sciatica , i was told because of Covid that no out patient or specialist appointments are being made and to try again in December .I would ring them but don'thold your breath for an appointment it seems they are using " Covid" as an excuse

My appointment with rheumatology was cancelled beginning of the year, (COVID) they put me on methotrexate, not heard from them. I have had two appointments with dermatology over the phone, I have had to send photos both times of affected areas, I am very surprised rheumatology can’t offer the same system. Blood test every 3. Months at doctors

Same here. I've had two 'phone consultations' with the rheumatologist since lockdown started, which have consisted of 'are you feeling better?' Me -'no'. Him 'I'm sorry to hear that, I'll call you in another four months to see if there's any improvement'.
Meanwhile, no treatment, no nothing. And I'm getting worse all the time.
