I am in my second month on methotrexate for psoriatic arthritis and have had great results with no side effects. The instructions and warnings for this medication are very restrictive at the best of times but with COVID even more so. If I follow them to the letter I will never go out socially and never have friends or family to visit. How does everyone else on this drug deal with these restrictions?

Hi Carnival queen. I've been on methotrexate for the past 2 years (injection) and taltz ( also injection). I go out every Saturday night but make sure I don't overdo it with the alcohol. I take care to wear a mask when I'm moving about inside but I've not had any problems with covid. I've had the two vaccines but I just get on with life best I can. I've got a few patches on my arm but my skin is pretty good. Charlie

Thanks for your reply Charlie, I’m encouraged by what you say. We’ve been invited out for a meal to a restaurant which is quite small and enclosed. It has low ceilings and I doubt the ventilation is good, I know it’s fully booked most evenings so guess it will be crowded with tables close together. Would you be worried about attending such a venue? Great to hear your skin is good. 👍

@Carnival Queen: you do not mention if you have been vaccinated. But to be honest, nobody else can judge for you how important it feels to you to go to this meal. Personally, I would have tried to go to a restaurant perhaps larger and/ or call them and confirm if they are still practicing any measures to reduce risks.
