Hi everyone,
I have been suffering psoriasis since I was 19 (Now 32). I have mainly inverse psoriasis: behind ears, under arms, belly button, butt crack, groin area, scalp and now recently it has spread to my nails.
Virtually all of my fingernails are affected to some degree and a couple of toe nails. One of my toe nails actually broke off but has since regrown.
Just went to see my doctor (I am in Australia BTW) and asked them what I should do for my nail psoriasis. They had no idea and had to look in a medical book before suggesting to squirt some Elecon (steroid) lotion down my nails. I have used it a couple of times but it says very clearly that this treatment is only for scalp psoriasis... I just don't feel it's the right medication to be using.
Can anyone give me some other suggestions to try? I wish I could post some pictures somehow...
Thanks
Robert
