I am 62 years old. I have had psoriasis since I was 3. Between the ages of 3 - 17 I had sun lamp treatment and then 17 - 19 PUVA treatment.
I was an in patient and out patient. In the 60s and 70s I was subjected to what would nowadays be classed as child abuse.
I am now undergoing investigation re facial moles/melanoma. I'm wondering if anyone else who has had exposure to UV light treatment has developed skin cancer.
Many thanks in advance x

Hi Kpthenut,
I'm 66 and as a child with psoriasis spent many weeks in hospital having coal tar baths and UV lamp treatment,a few years ago I had a mole on my arm removed and it turned out to be melanoma, had to have further surgery to remove a larger margin around mole site, also had another mole on leg removed but thankfully that one was ok,
I was a child with fair skin and red hair, looking back now I don't think this was an ideal treatment, children now would not be treated this way knowing the dangers of UV lamps
