How Much Dovobet

I have psoriasis on about 1/3 of my body...have had it for over 10 years and its getting worse.
On the Dovobet bottle it says apply thinly to the skin. So I did so and it only had a little effect. Then the doctor actually saw the psoriasis on my back and said I should apply lots of Dovobet....quite liberally. Well....that worked very well. So one has to wonder, how much is enough and how much is too much.
