Hi all. I’m new to the forum but not totally new to psoriasis. I’ve been dealing with it since 2021, and my father had it for much of his life.
I’m a 36 year old male living in the USA, who eats pretty well, is in good shape and who workouts/lift weights multiple times every week.
I’ve cut out all gluten and even peanut products. I use lotion daily and I stay well hydrated.
My psoriasis has been treated with steroids, pill/injection/topical. These help but it always comes back.
The psoriasis covered my whole body, both in plaques and spots, and while my doctor says it was severe, I’ve seen pictures of much worse.
Between a better diet, powerful steroid injections, lotion, sun exposure, and this new “VTAMA cream” I’ve gotten it mostly under control. It’s winter so my skin is more dry like anyone’s, but over all things are good.
The problem is I have a spot on the front my left ankle where it meets the top of the foot. Friction from shoes and the normal motion of the foot makes it very difficult to keep this spot healed.
Any little outbreak there, and it quickly develops into a very uncomfortable experience.
It’s hard to even keep gauze or padding wrapped around it because it falls off.
I have an outbreak right now, and it’s pretty much localized to that spot.
Sorry for so much detail, but I wanted to give my background in case it is needed.
Has anyone else experienced this? How did you get it healed?

Hello
I can imagine that rubbing from shoes would not be helping.
Hard in winter, but in summer you could wear flipflops, as they won't rub
Cold pressed food grade coconut oil can sometimes help. Just dab it on the patch
