Hi my 15 year old son has been through everything & is on cyclosporine at the moment. This can only be taken short term as a quick fix as he was in bad way physically & mentally. He has to come off this in a few months & his dermatologist has talked about biologics. My son is keen to have this as he’s desperate for his psoriasis not to come back.
Has anyone gone onto biologics at this sort of age. I’m also wondering if his psoriasis will settle down when his hormones settle as he gets older. Any advice welcome.
Many thanks.

Hi,
Sorry to hear I’m 23 and this happened when I was 16, so I know exactly what he’s going through.
I would try get him on light therapy and avoid biological till older years. Not that it isn’t good but if the light therapy works, then your son won’t have to have a low immune system at a young age.
Light therapy worked for me for a while, but alcohol when I got older brought it back so learn from my mistake!
Wish all the best for the lad and you!
