My doctors said my psoriasis was so bad that they wanted to put me on medication. I am still relatively young and the medication side effects seemed extreme to me. I decided I wanted to do UVB treatment, as I had success with that a four years ago. Is this the right call?

Uvb risks are obviously skin cancer and a quick return when you stop.
Tablets are immunosuppression, opportunistic infection and an increased risk of not only skin cancer, but all cancers.
How old are you? Thinking about future risks of this and that can be scary, but ultimately everyone does die of something and a good portion (tragically) do so quite young. Improved quality of life in the time you are alive is a balance sith a theoretical risk of future illness that you have to make as a personal choice.
Have you thought about investing in a home NB UVB panel?
