Hello everyone, I'm a 53F and been on statins for high cholesterol for the last 18 months. (Atavastatin/Pravastatin - had elevated liver function and cramps from both)
Changed to Rosuvastatin (Crestor) and now my soles/palms/feet/hands/arms are covered in psoriasis, very sore and itchy.
GP doesn't think that's the cause but nothing else has changed.
Have stopped the statin and now left with this, not very happy!
Just wondering has anyone experienced anything similar, many thanks!

Hi know that psoriasis is common around the time of menopause. I don’t know if this could be connected. Since I’ve been on hrt mine has nearly all disappeared x

Thanks for the reply Tracy Jane! Been on hrt for 2.5 years and feel great on it, glad your psoriasis has nearly gone :)

Hi Rina, I have been on statins for about 10years and have had psoriasis on my feet for about 2years but 6 months ago my statin dose was increased and now my psoriasis has gone worse so there could be a connection, I will mention it to my GP next time I see him.
