Methotrexate and immunosuppression. How has it been?

Hi all, Just information gathering on methotrexate experience. I work in healthcare and have a 1 and 3 year old, so Needless to say I am constantly ill! Academically, I'm aware that methotrexate suppresses the immune system, but I don't really know how that manifests in psoriasis patients taking the drug. Do you need to avoid ill people? When you get a cold does it hit harder / last longer? We've had a vomiting bug probably every two months this year (nursery) and the idea of getting these and them lasting longer than the 6 hours they currently do terrifies me. Anyone had any stomach bugs that have lingered / led to hospitalisation on methotrexate? I'm really as interested in positive responses as I am negative - e.g. - no more ill now than ever before
