Hi all now it’s the summer I’m using exorex lotion which I like but my skin is very dry Any recommendations to use along side exorex

I use Doublebase Gel, and Doublebas Dayleve Gel. The "Dayleve" variation leaves a barrier on the skin. I found both of these to be excellent as moisturiers and for reducing itching. I bought them in 500g pump dispensers. My late mother was in a care home for 5 years and they used Doublebase Gel there for treating residents skin to maintain flexibility.

I varied, I have had plaque psoriasis since 1980, but it subsided a lot in the last 15-20 years. Then in 2018 I came out in gittate psoriasis following a hip-replacement, and the lesions were less painful or raw but itched like crazy. I found that the Dayleve Gel seemed to help during the day, and before bed I had a lukewarm bath with Oilatum Plus in the water. That helped for sleeping. (I live alone so could not get someone to apply any moisturiser to my back) I applied the Doublebase multiple times during the day, whenever the itching became too much.

I use doublebase as a general daily moisturiser, aveno to Bath, shower with and then hydromol cream after showering. I also use emolin spray which is particularly useful for my upper back

I use Hydromol ointment in the daytime. It's a bit oily but keeps the skin moisturised well. Hydromol Cream at night time and when you don't want bed sheets stained or nice clothes stained and oily patches showing through. both available on NHS, if you've an understanding GP and over the counter I believe. Hydromol Intensive Cream is also excellent if you can get hold of it. I use this on my face, especially the beard area where I suffer with P. God luck.

There is a section about getting moisturisers from GPs under Information and support.

I showed my GP the note from the Psoriasis website and he accepted that I could have moisturisers on prescription.
