Is Enstilar the new foam for treating Psoriasis any good?

I was wondering the same thing. It's still a steroid, and when people stop taking steroids it can come back, worse. But it does seem to have positive reviews in the publicised study.

Posted Mon 8 Aug 2016 16.57 by gingermonkey For several years...drives me mad but won't bring me down.
Please do Gopher68o and finbar - hope you do well with it and I'm going to try and get my GP to prescribe without being made to go back down a specialist route again. Will be interesting to see if there are postcode lottery issues with availability.
I've just been prescribed this by the nurse where I'm having light treatment, she faxed through to my Gp, it's easy to use,( just tried it now). The light treatment is working a little but had a flare up on my back.was using exorex but doesn't seem to be working as well as it used to, so will see how this goes.

Hi Gopher680,ginger monkey, everyone,
Today is my 5th day of use and I can tell everyone that without so far this is the best thing I have ever used. Absolutely incredible, the plaque as gone and I am down to flat clean skin with just the redness left.
I have had psoriasis for forty years and in that time I have used all sorts of horrible greasy stuff and have had stays in hospital. For approx 10 years now I have used Dovonex and moisturisers which have helped a bit and was very much resigned to have my constants companion (psoriasis) with me.
I am absolutely delighted with the speed at which my skin is recovering and there are no plaques left at all after just four days.
Go for it without delay and hope it works for you all

I am hoping my GP is OK with it Went to hospital to get some help but they were next to useless , as I'm a cancer survivor had to be careful about what I use . I've been using dermovate for ages and dovobet and it's made me bruise easily also any slight scratch and I bleed . So let's hope that enstilar helps as I am off on hols soon and it would be nice to get suntan on legs .

Hi all
My first post after discovering this site when google-ing Enstilar.
I have suffered with psoriasis for 25 years since I was 20 and if this product is as good as it sounds it will be a god send.
Does anybody know if its available "over the counter" in Pharmacys in Spain? Off on holiday next month and will have a look whilst out there and stock up if so, usually works out cheaper than getting prescribed one tube that usually have to replace every fortnight here.

Claudette, I have used Dovobet gel for treating the skin on scalp and earholes in the past, although "oily" I found it to be the most relieving and effective.

i have been using enstilar a week now and it has really worked mafrks still there but less inflamed and sore and thankfully no itcthing
I started using Enstilar Foam 9 days ago after reading about via a link on Facebook of all places! I rang my GP for a telephone consultation to request it and after some persuasion she agreed as a short term treatment as its expensive at £39 per can. I explained to her that I needed a can per week after reading that it doesn't last long. When I collected my prescription I was disappointed to be only given 1 can. I challenged this with my GP and 2 days later had another 3 cans prescribed for me and it was put on repeat for me to have more in a month. I started using it straight away and have to say I am amazed with the initial results. I have Psoriasis on my legs from my knees down to my toes and also my elbows as well as bits on hands etc. Within 3 days the dryness was gone and now 9 days on my skin is completely smooth and only redness when the patches are. I have no dryness or flaky skin at all. The foam is a bit greasy so I have found spraying it on areas and letting it sit on the skin surface for a couple of minutes helps to allow it to absorb better. I never used to be able to use creams during the day as everything stained my clothes and left greasy marks but with this I can. It doesn't smell either which is another huge bonus! I have suffered with Psoriasis for 30 years and this is the first treatment I have been really excited about. I can't wait to see how my skin improves everyday.

Hello there, Im a newbee too. I have had Psoriasis for 46years and have had many different meds for it. I have been on Stelara now for over a year and it is the only thing that i have found works for me, I wonder if anyone could tell me if it is normal to be getting cellulitis in a leg . Dr tells me it is difficult to treat because of the psoriasis,I have been put on estiler to see if this helps but so far after a week it still seems to be the same I would be interested if anyone has had the same problem. Thanks.
