Cambrinus - thank you No I haven't tried diprosone lotion - I will see how I get on with enstillar form first as it is going well for both areas.

Hi all
I was fortunate enough to get a prescription from my GP for this nearly 2 weeks ago.
Since then I've been using it on a few test patches on one of my legs. The scaling has disappeared but the pink patches remain. This is the stage I have got to before with other topicals and I am slightly concerned that I won't get any further improvement.
For those who posted in here a few months back that saw initial improvement - were you able to get rid of the redness completely with enstilar? And if you did, did things get worse after you finished using it?
Posted Fri 12 May 2017 20.58 by Elliebaby I am now 65 and have suffered with psoriasis for 50 years, I also have tried every treatment, but have never really been completely clear of
Can someone tell me have they used Enstilar for Guttate Psoriasis, or can it only be used for Plaque Psoriasis.

Hi I'm new to this forum. I've had psoriasis for 4years and it was mostly on my hands arms and ankles. I've had UVB treatment twice with good results but always returning after about 7 months. My GP who is excellent prescribed me Enstillar as I had been reading up about it was getting good reviews. I tried it for 4 weeks as prescribed with excellent results on my hands and arms they were clear no scaling or redness. Two weeks after it was beginning to return so I used small amount more on hands only. Anyway result is I appear to have had a rebound effect and have the worst flare up ever My arms hands and legs are scarlet and flaking ++++. I'm awaiting an appointment for UVB treatment and hoping it calms this down. Take care with this medication it appears to be a miracle cure but there is no such thing for psoriasis

Hi Rosie
This was my experience too. Enstilar was fantastic but when I came off it - it was worse and when I tried to reuse it - it didn't help. My psoriasis was so bad everywhere - on my hand and scalp where I had not had it before. I am glad that others are not experiencing this reaction maybe only for some.
I hope that the light treatment works for you.
Hi everyone
I am new to this forum and I would just like to say thank you for this particular subject on Enstilar Foam.
I have had varying degrees of psoriasis for more than 40 years and have tried most treatments, all to no real avail.
At present I have P on my elbows, knees and ankles and the ankle one itches and hurts the most due to socks and shoes rubbing, its usually red and sometimes bleeds.
I found this forum and this topic about Enstilar foam a few weeks back which encouraged me to make an appointment to see my GP about this treatment, My Dr had never heard of it but looked it up and said he believes its similar to Dovobet (which has done virtually nothing for me over the years) he prescribed Enstilar and I ordered it from my Pharmacy.
OK I realise that this is very early days (6 days treatment) but at present my P has flattened, the redness has subsided and the itching and bleeding on my ankles have stopped and for once in so many years I feel as if this foam is being treated positively.
Thank you to the Psoriasis Association for bringing us this forum and for all the contributors to this thread that made me visit my GP to try Enstilar Foam.
As I say its very early days and I just hope that the initial positive response to my psoriasis continues.
Thank you again
Peter

Is this foam available in Canada?? would love to try it.....
OK, so I'm now at least six months into usage of Enstilar. The patch on the back of my head cleared within a few days, and I had no problems, but then used it once for a little tingle that developed. After that nothing for about three months and then used it a few days, but now, all of of the time I'm completely free and have forgotten what an unpleasant problem it was. My clothes always needed the scurf brushing off, and the irritation made me want to dig patches off myself. Luckily, after 20 years of irritation, that's all gone, and I hope you have the same experience.. BTW I don't work for them !!

Hi
I used enstilar for 4 weeks and it worked really well. All of my psoriasis which was raised and red went completely smooth and flat. I was left with quite a lot of scarring on my legs but this should fade over time with lots of moisturising and I use aloe vera gel.
The doc said I need to take a 4 week break before I can start using it again but in the meantime its starting to come back (ive not been using enstilar for 1.5 weeks). Has this happened to anyone else? What did you use on it?
Thanks
Tanya

Hi
I was prescribed this last week, I started it tuesday and although I do find it a little greasy it's a lot less greasy than anything else I've tried.
I've had severe psoriasis on the palms of my hands for the last 5-6 years and they got so bad I haven't bren able to wash my own dishes for 2 and a half years due to my skin splitting open or them becoming so dry I couldn't close them.
Yesterday I was so happy I was close to tears....i washed my own dishes up.
I know this may sound silly buy having to rely on other people to clean up after me made me feel so useless and like a burden.
I'm hoping it does clear up completely as I would love to see what my palms look like again lol.
And Tanya (t86) I have found a goats milk based body butter helps a lot as well if you still need something to use between treatments :-)
Posted Thu 22 Jun 2017 07.29 by gingermonkey For several years...drives me mad but won't bring me down.
It's showing totally out of stock at the manufacturer end across areas of West and South Yorkshire. No date for new supplies.
Been Enstiler for a week and a half and my psoriasis has completely cleared for the first time since I was first diagnosed in 2002 only problem is that there's red marks where the psoriasis used to be. If I stretch the skin the redness disappears and there's nothing but clear skin and when I let go it goes back to redness. Is this perminant? Or will it eventually fade? This product is amazing. Takes me under 10 mins to do my whole body where as with ointment it took close to 30 mins sometimes even longer and then the stick feeling was annoying and I couldent go out anywhere after I applied the ointment when I put it on my face because of the grease residue. Try this product now. It changed me life for the better.

My psoraisis also did very well with the Enstilar but I was also left with red marks my specialist said that they would fade but it would take time. I also take soriatane and have one more month on that, so fingers crossed.

@siomes - Hi i've had the same problem with scars and I've been using organic aloe vera gel and just moisturising as much as possible and it seems to be helping them fade, they are defiantly looking less red now, hope this helps!

Just a brief update from my 15th May post.
I have been using Enstilar Foam for about 6 weeks now and I really am so pleased at the outcome, my P has disappeared apart from some red patches which I am treating with Bio Oil for scars, this oil is now taking the redness away and my skin is the best it has been for near on 40 years.
I am now hoping that this is not just a temporary remission in my skin condition and that if I can keep the previous P areas well and truly moisturised.
Good luck to anyone else trying Enstilar Foam.
Peter.

Got to Dermatology after a 5 month wait and got prescribed the foam, I told him my GP wouldn't prescribe it and was told he should do now. Really pleased, after one week my flaky skin has gone, I have only ever responded to Light Therapy before.

Hi all
I really rate the foam and after using it I can advise that it's not long term results. I wish I could say differently I really do. But, I do think with a mixture of sun, foam, good Creams and a lifestyle that's healthy it is a tool to get you in a place where you can cope.
A miracle foam it isn't, a quick fix for special occasion or starting block for alternative lifestyle it is.

I fully agree with the comments that it works well but you do get flare ups when you stop using it. My GP is happy to prescribe but has taken it off my repeats. He said that he does not wanting me using it continuously, which is tempting. His view is that flare-ups will be even worse when I eventually stop. I now use it intermittently along with Dovonex and Epiderm to keep things under control. The other problem that I have been informed of by my pharmacist is that Leo Pharma are having production problems and I have been told that it is not now available in the York area. At least I have a can and a half to keep me going. Good luck to anyone else using the foam.
