Anyone out there using Ciclosporin?

I've had psoriasis since I was 7 years old, I'm now 54. I'm very rarely free of psoriasis

Hi, I've recently started on a 3 month course of ciclosporin, 150 mg twice daily, I've only been on it for a few days and have had a few side effects already, including slight dizziness, a slight tremor which I've felt in my legs and my face, and pain/coldness in my hands (which only lasted for about an hour). Can anyone tell me about their experience of using ciclosporin and the results they had with it?

Hello, I started on the same dose as you in April time this year. It worked wonders, my skin cleared up really well. However, after a week of stopping it, it flared up bad again and when going back on the ciclosporine it didn't work. My next step was methotrexate which I had an allergic reaction to! Now waiting to hear as I've been referred to specialists. I didn't get any actually side effects on ciclopsorine though! Hope this helps

Hi I have been on ciclosporin for 12 years now. Im on 200mcg a day. I have a couple of months on and then take a 2 weeks or so break as I have been on it for so long. It clears my skin and I get no side effects. Occasionally my liver profile goes a bit out so I take a short break and then its ok again. When I come off ciclosporin i get psoriasis back after 10 days, sometimes I can manage 3 weeks before I have to go back on ciclosporin

Got P in 1990 when serving in forces. Got diagnosed with PA late early this year. Using Stelara 90 mg.

I was ciclosporin back in 2008/9. It eased my P but didn't clear it. The main side effects I had when I was on it were headaches and nausea. In the end, not long after taking ciclosporin, my stomach was going round and round like a washing machine and then I was becoming so ill that i was taken off it and prescribed enbrel. I would never go back to taking ciclosporin after my experience with it.
