yes

YES,I CAN NOT BELIEVE IT MY SELF, SO IV JUST JOINED THIS SITE TODAY TO LET AS MANY PEOPLE KNOW AS POSSIBLE. I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING OVER THE YEARS,ALL THE CREAMS,OINTMENTS,BATHS,HERBS,UV ,DEAD SEA,RED SEA AND SPENT THOUSANDS OF POUNDS!.I THEN READ A MOTHER TALKING ABOUT HOW BAD SHE AND HER CHILD HAD PSORIASIS AND HAD TRIED EVERTHING TOO,THAT DID NOT WORK.SHE THEN SAID A FOOD EXPERT HAD TOLD HER TO PUT HER AND HER CHILD ON A GLUTEN AND WHEAT FREE DIET AND THAT THEY ARE NOW COMPLETELY FREE AND THAT IT ONLY COMES BACK IF THEY TAKE WHEAT AND GLUTEN BY MISTAKE. SO IV NOW BEEN ON A WHEAT AND GLUTEN FREE DIET FOR JUST TWO WEEKS AND MY PSORIASIS HAS NOW ALL BUT GONE, AFTER JUST TWO WEEKS!! AND THE GOOD THING IS THAT ALL THE SUPERMARKETS NOW STOCK A GOOD VARIETY OF WHEAT AND GLUTEN FREE PRODUCTS. YOU MUST TRY THIS FOR TWO WEEKS AND SEE. BUT MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS GLUTEN FREE, EVEN NORMAL GRAVY HAS WHEAT AND GLUTEN IN IT.

Ive had plantar pustular psoriasis for years. Its currently flared up big time and is so sore. Ive also been under the rheumatologists with

I'm inspired to try the diet and am going gluten free from tomorrow (- that's when I will have bought in some alternative foods.) I've got pustular psoriasis affecting my feet which is maybe a bit different and I get joint pains, currently my shoulder is sooo painful. I'm hoping dietary measures will work as there's nothing left to try.. steroid creams and PUVA had no effect. I'll update you in 2 weeks re the improvement. Good luck in staying free of it and keep with the diet!

Plaque psoriasis over most of body: especially shins, elbows and hands.

Good luck Sairz. Let us know how you get on. You may want to try 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric each day - it is supposed to be good for joint pains. I bought it cheaply from a local Asian store. I've tried giving up dairy for 3 or 4 weeks. I think I'm going to have to go gluten free instead - reluctantly!

I have had psoriasis for 5 years, and am struggling to control it and find it very hard to manage. It is very sore on my elbows and bottom a

It is very interesting hearing people talk about diet, when one thinks about it what we eat must make a big difference. the other evening I ate two rather large oranges, they were lovely, went to bed and tossed and turned then the itch started, oh my god I felt like I had been cursed, not one wink of sleep followed. I am keeping a record of what I eat leaving out high acid foods, since I have stopped eating oranges,no itch, well very little. Another thing that I have noticed helps me is Actimel, one in the morning one at night, if your worried about your weight they do a 0

Oranges I have found make me itch very badly. i am trying to stay away from strong acid foods, Actimel appears to help one AM one PM. Other than that I stay with white meat and all FISH, no shellfish, prawns make me itch. My psoriasis isnt that good but since i have been following this have def seen a difference, if you can just get rid of the itch its another hurdle crossed, hope this helps someone. will be in touch.

I completely agree. Having read 'Wheat Belly' a book by an American cardiologist I thought that I'd try giving up wheat to lose weight and to my astonishment I discovered that my psoriasis has radically improved. I no longer shed scaly skin. Psoriasis hasn't gone completely but it has improved by about 80%. I do urge everyone who suffers from Psoriasis to give up Wheat and gluten in general. Just try it. I was sceptical anything would ever really help but making this adjustment to my diet has been a revelation.

I have had psoriasis since I was 10 years old. (40 years ago now) Have been hospitalised once when I was 18.

This is so incredible. I just joined this site because I have suffered from Psoriasis for 40 years and about 6 months ago I started eating a gluten free diet. I did not go gluten free in order to cure my psoriasis, I was trying the gluten free diet because I had heard it could help clear brain fog. A bout a month after starting the gluten free diet I realised my Psoraisis had completely gone!!! IT IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING I HAVE FOR MANY YEARS HAD HUGE PATCHES OF PSORIASIS AT THE TOP OF MY LEGS BOTTOM OF MY BUTTOCKS AND ABOVE MY HIPS ON MY BACK THIS HAS COMPLETELY GONE!!! I cannot believe it I stand in front of the mirror looking at myself now and my skin is completely clear. I now have a completely Gluten free diet and would recommend it to anyone. I only registerred with this website to spread the word and was so surprised when I saw this post!!!

Hereditary

Good to know you are Psoriasis free now. I started taking gluten free diet for rheumatoid arthritis remission. I am having psoriasis since last 10 yrs and RA since last 2 years. Its been the 2nd day on gluten free diet and psoriasis is reducing. The following link explains how it works: http://www.naturalnews.com/035075_gluten_intolerance_rheumatoid_arthritis.html RA and psoriasis have 2 things in common: both are autoimmune diseases and caused by leaky gut syndrome. I will post my progress after few days. Thanks!

No confidence, especially with women. Feeling like I'm being stared at and overlooked. Tried a few treatments with limited success, none of

I might have to try this, as I did follow a gluten-free diet as a child and my skin was better then. It's just frightening as it's so expensive, would mean throwing away so much other food, and would feel like such a step backwards, especially for travelling and eating out. It'll take me 12 weeks to clear everything I have in my fridge / cupboard, but maybe it's worth a go. Oranges (citrus other than lemons, indeed) are one food I've heard suggested as a problem, although the one I've really noticed is soft cheese, especially brie, though it seems to affect my psoriatic arthritis more than the skin itself (incidentally, why is 'psoriatic' not in this dictionary?)

I've had P on my finger tips for 18 years

I read your post in December 2015. I have been suffering from P on my finger tips and palms of my hands for 18 years. I have tried loads of things and nothing has worked. I established in December 2015 that my fingers had gotten really bad and looked back at my diet....WE ARE WHAT WE EAT....After reading your article I decided to go on a WHEAT FREE diet from 1st Jan 2016 and immediately noticed a difference. I had given up bread before but not wheat. I'm now a month into my wheat free diet and my fingers/hands are now about 80% back to normal. I believe it will take more time for my fingers to heal properly. I hope this is helpful for other sufferers.
