Ceanel Shampoo Update

It is hoped that Ceanel Shampoo will return to shelves this summer, as the product reaches the final stages of re-development.

We received the following update from Derma UK, manufacturers of Ceanel Concentrate medicated shampoo:

As we begin a new year, Derma UK are delighted to report that Ceanel Concentrate medicated shampoo enters the penultimate stage in its return to market.

When we last updated you, Ceanel had completed a complex re-development and had finally passed a range of very time-consuming validity and quality tests.

Now, Derma UK is pleased to say that Ceanel shampoo stability trials are well under way. Ceanel’s re-development has never reached this stage before. This is the part where analytical data is gathered and then submitted to the MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency) for them to assess and approve.

We anticipate a long-awaited submission to the MHRA in summer 2025. Please be advised that from this point onwards, timescales are dictated by the MHRA, but Derma UK is optimistic that Ceanel will be released and available to patients this year.

As ever, Derma UK will continue to provide proactive project updates via the Psoriasis Association as and when we have more information to share.
