I have psoriasis on my feet but in winter it seems to settle down. Now the summer is here(haha) I have barely any skin on about 50% of my left foot and is extremely painful when walking. I have had steroids, puva treatment candy am currently back on steroids but nothing is working at the moment, has anyone got any tips.

psoriasis on the soles of my feet

Hi Moody, I've had psoriasis on the soles of my feet for over 3 years, and like you have tried many remedies but with no success. I was recently on holiday in the USA and went in past a chemist as me feet were very bad, I picked up 2 creams both have 3 % salicylic acid and this has cleared up my small patches that were elsewhere on my body, much to my delight. I saw the dermatologist last week and he has arranged to have similar cream made up for me. I've just checked amazon and they have something similar to what I'm using Dermarest Psoriasis Medicated Skin Treatment. It hasn't cleared up my feet, but I've certainly noticed a difference. Hope this helps.

Yes

The most effective remedy I have found for psoriasis is swimming outdoors. I know it sounds ridicoulous but it works.I have pso arthritis and my finger and toenails have totally disintergrated but immersion in cold water works for me.

really bad psoriasis on both hands and feet, I lost my first career due to the hands, and 2 years ago due to the feet. My feet would crack a

Hi Moody I too suffer from psoriasis on the feet but also on the hands. And I know how crippling it can be, and summer definitely feels the worst time. I have had no real answers from local dermatologists about it, even when it was at its worst and I couldn't walk due to infections spreading to my legs nobody could give me any answers. I'm sure on here you will find something to ease any itching or otherwise. It seems to me that no matter what form you have, treatment is a very individual affair, and for myself it has been mainly trial and error. My biggest thing was to reduce stress and I also stopped smoking which made a big difference at the time. Good luck in finding your answer and I hope you can find a way to reduce this seemingly incurable problem.
