My son has psoriasis

Hi, I have just found you. My son has been having light therapy 3 times a week since September 2013 and doesn't seem to be getting any better. He had blood taken on Monday and the doctor suggested he could be deficient in something. My son is 17 and didn't think to ask, I didn't know he was seeing the doc. Does anyone have any idea what this could be?
