Leflunomide instead of methotrexate?

Hi. I'm Paul and I have had guttate & plaque psoriasis from the age of 4 and recently PSA which first started in my teens but was missed.

Hi. I'm just about to start taking leflunomide as methotrexate 20mg is not effective and causing bad mouth ulcers unfortunately. I'm interested to know how long it took to be effective with leflunomide - my symptoms are I think related to entheses stiffness and pain, hand fingers swelling plus random joints throbbing. Hi Paul, I was switched by my consultant from Metho' to Lefluno a couple of years ago - I wish you all the best with it as it didn't work for me, similar to Metho' isn't working for you. My understanding is that both of these drugs are at the lower end of the treatment scale ( least costly also in these austere times ) and others are available. I'm about to go on to an injection based treatment which is the next level and has no liver-based side effects like our current two. Might be worth enquiring as I don't think they're offered openly.
