Massive flare up after stopping pill??

Suffered with psoriasis for over 10 years
A few months back i came off the contraceptive pill and ever ain e then my psoriasis has totally flared up, im covered in spots all over my body, the doctor says its not connected but im not sure?? Just wondered if anyone had a similar experience??
