Hi all,
I have had psoriasis for about 20 years now. The worst of it is in my scalp and head. I have some on my elbows, knuckles and knees. I had an appointment with the dermatologist and she said it's the worst she has seen on the scalp. She asked me did I have arthritis and I said not that I know of. I told her my fingers get sore and feel stiff in my fingers, also my knees hurt especially going up and down the stairs. She wanted me to gets bloods taken because the only option I have is the tablets which I forgotten the name of.
I go to the nurse and get my blood taken. I got my results and my blood count came back fine, my kidneys and liver came back fine and my anti body came back fine and said no further action needed.
So my question is, where do I go from here? My knees hurt and don't feel right. Walking short or long distances when I sit down they hurt and I get a burning feeling in both knees, also when in bed resting I get burning feeling in my knees and get niggling pain in them. I have not noticed any swelling anywhere on my joints. I have made another appointment with my doctor but I bet he just sends me to physio. Is there anything I can ask the doctor to check for? If my antibodies were fine, does that not mean I'm clear of psoriatic arthritis?
Thank you for reading this 😊

Simply ask the doctor to investigate the symptoms that you are still experiencing,
I had pain in my hip (and a massive loss of mobility) and lower back, my knees and ankle and big toe, my thumbs and wrists. I was woken every night by any movement in my sleep causing pain in my back, hip or knees.
I knew that some of my pains etc were not helped by being 20kg overweight.
X-rays established that I have osteoarthritis in my toe and hip, wrists and thumbs I had a hip replacement 11 months ago. Now that I can walk correctly, AND I have lost 10kg, my kneees have stopped giving pain, as has my lower back - because with the new hip I am now able to walk correctly. I have great mobility, have not taken a painkiller since the initial recovery from the operation and I sleep well.
You might well be clear of PA, but something is causing your symptoms.

Hi guys, thanks for the replies :)
I forgot to mention I also suffer from lower back pain, also if I get up to do something and sit back down I get a pulsating pain which can start from the bottom of my back and slowly works its way up my spine until it reaches the back of my head. When this happens I am paralyzed until the pain stops. I also pull muscles in my kneck, mostly under my chin, all it takes is me to look sideways or yawn and I pull my muscles. I went to physiotherapy about it and they gave me exercises to do which I tried and still it happens. Could they all be connected?
One of my fingernails has psoriasis in it, its sore to touch the finger nail and it has ridges on it, but my other fingernails seem fine.
As for my diet change, I dont think I can do it. I suffer from alot of mental health issues such as BPD, CPTSD, anxiety and depression. Sometimes I comfort eat which helps me get through the day.
I just hope the doctor doesnt suggest physio again because I just go to one appointment and never go back.

I have Psoriatic Enthesitis - this causes painful joints and can be wide spread across your whole body.
Might be worth asking your doctor to refer you to a rheumatologist.
