Hi i am not on Taltz but i have been on Enbrel for @ 5 years and i understand your worries concerning side effects. These medicines are quite new and research is limited.
After being on Enbrel for all that time a few months ago they changed me onto the generic version (cheaper) and within a couple of injections i got some serious side effects imo.
When i told consultant she said i dont think its related.
So i asked her if the fact i missed the last two injections and i had no issues was relevant.?
She put me back on original Enbrel and said she still had doubts change was cause but i have had no issues since.
Having been off original they sent new patients pack out and low and behold patient card you carry has heart attack paragraph added since i original started on it.
spotted a thread on here about blueberries well worth a read i have been on them and
within 7 days i can see a amazing improvement maybe worth a try

Like you biologics can have some amazing results but the long term effects are worrying and unknown

thanks for your replay i know i noticed it has a paragraph regarding heart attacks and they didn't explain it at all so that has put me off a lot.plus these other side effects what im getting, but the trouble is as soon as i come off treatment it goes wild out of control so im in a catch 22 .....
This is what my situation on taltz and i have come off it because of this covid 19 to risky to be on biologics at this time.there is a link between psoriasis and arthritis psoriasis and the heart but i would only research this on the nhs .google can scare you to death .good luck with your psoriasis

I know how you feel i have been in your shoes several times.
We are part of the learning circle, i have had p of best part of 50 years and nothing has really worked apart from UV and biologics, anything else and i just get worse
When i started UV/PUVA there was no limits, look at it now,i have had many times what is allowed now.
Afteri went on Enbrel i gained weight always been steady weight all my life
i asked if it was side effect no was reply.
A year or so later they started weighing and measuring every ones hips every visit .
That blueberry thing appears to be working for me and nothing else has and i have tried almost everything or so i thought must be worth a try ? Drug free improvement is a bonus and gives you a possible opportunity may not work for everyone but i would give it 6 weeks trial nothing to loose. Could try it with existing injections and see if you get a marked improvement. That is what i am doing .
Also Glutton thread looks interesting, problem is people have different results with different treatments but this forum has some interesting posts by affected people.
I really miss my consultant he was head and seen him for 35 years he retired recently was involved in research ect would of liked to of shown him blueberry results and asked his opinion he was open minded
Hello,
I am 50 years old and I have been ill for 20 years, I was treated with Enbrel and then with Cosentyx ...
I only started the treatment with Taltz two months ago, the effects are the same as yours.
I will report the doctor's situation and I will see what other decision he can make
Until then, stay as healthy as possible.
I've been on taltz for over 2 years, but not had any side effects. Other than initial injection site reactions. We are all different e.g I had a horrific reaction to humira, but it is disappointing when doctors are so dismissive. I would try keeping a diary and present your findings at your next appointment with your dermatologist. I find keeping a detailed log of any adverse incidents is more persuasive when there is conflict/disagreement with consultants. More so, if like me, you tend not to see the same consultant.

Psoriasis Cream - https://hespac.com/psoriasisen.htm Purchased this for my father, works wonderful. Takes care of all the itchy, flaky areas including the scalp. Highly recommend this product.

All I can say after two years of treatment with Talz is that it did not have the same positive effect as Cosentyx... All these negative effects will disappear in time... for me the situation normalized after 3-4 months of days. In the meantime, I had Covid twice and things went wrong again. I wish you to be able to successfully pass all these trials.

Have been on steroid creams for a long time. Started treatment with Taltz today. Looking at the posts here, it doesn't appear to be a good idea.

Hello there.! I was on taltz for 2 years. For the first year or so I had no complications. My skin was so clear and my joint pain completely gone. It felt too good to be true ! And maybe it was. I am a female 21 and I noticed I started getting yeast infection very bad. I went to the gyno almost every month and it just kept on coming back. She didn’t know how to help me. This was starting to hurt my relationship and my own self esteem so I decided to see what would happen if I went of taltz. It was the only thing that was unnatural in my body. I wondered if there was maybe some weird connection that was making me more prone to these infections. Turns out IT WAS caused by taltz. I went an entire year with chronic yeast and BV and right when I went off taltz I was 100% better. I confirmed this with a dermatologist too. My skin on the other hand came back with a vengeance. Turns out if you go off taltz your symtoms come back EVEN WORSE. This is a known fact but I was never told this from the dermatologist. Now I’m like …screw these biologics. They most likely will cause side effects just like anything new you bring into your ecosystem will. I’m going 100% natural now. Not 100% successful yet but I feel way more ethical and strong trying to heal this way.. I’m tired of TREATING THE SYMPTOMS and covering up the problem with medications. I want to find the root, start from the gut, heal, and hopefully be able to get my symtoms and pain to a place that’s manageable, SIDE EFFECT FREE. I wouldn’t recommend taltz ( or any biologic for that matter) to anyone after the experience I had. For me, the cons, risks, and unknowns, outweigh the pros. Going natural is not easy, but the best things in life are hard. There’s no magic pill that’s gonna cure this for us.

This is my 3rd week on Taltz. No side effects yet and what little Psoriasis I had is almost gone. Reading the posts about coming off Taltz is concerning.

I have taken the initial 2 injections of Taltz and then one every other week for a total of 6 weeks. The first 2 injections were fine, the next 2 caused red, feverish, knots that itched for 5-6 days. I thought the medicine was working when my plaques on my scalp were going away, but I still itch like crazy and my scalp is still flaking.
I used Cosentyx a couple of years ago and LOVED it. It started working almost immediately and the shedding, scales, plaques and most important, the constant itching went away. I had a change of insurances after about 6 months of treatment and my psoriasis was gone, so I didn't mess with the insurance paperwork. About a year after that, my psoriasis came back. A new dermatologist put me on Taltz. I am not at all impressed with Taltz.

Been on TALZ for over a year now. Absolutely no side effects and not a single spot of psoriasis to be found anywhere. Currently on 1 injection every month. Seeing dermatologist next month and expect to go on 1 injection every 6 weeks. So sorry to hear that it hasn't worked for some of you guys.

I'm not on Taltz, but I've been on Enbrel for 5 years. I had serious side effects when switched to the generic version, which my consultant initially dismissed. However, after going back to the original Enbrel, the issues were resolved. It's concerning how little is known about long-term effects.
