Hi Doddo, I was on sulfasalazine and MTX for years and it worked well for me.

Hi All Thanks for the replies - its strange that since I originally posted my symptoms seemed to die down for a bit - so I thought it was just a flare - hence I wasn't looking back on line for help. They now seem to have come back :( I had a particularly painful left jaw last night but this morning it doesn't feel painful! I think I will jump on the sulfasalazine / MTX combo. Its really mentally exhausting trying to work out what is going and what will hurt next and how severe!!
