Diatomaceous Earth Food Grade

6 months ago I could barely walk due to heel pain, my fingernails were pitted and brittle, and my hands were swollen and painful. I used over the counter pain relievers and creams for a while and made an appointment with my family doctor. My doctor did blood tests for rheumatoid arthritis which came back negative. She then referred me to a specialist. Psoriatic arthritis runs in my family. My appointment is next week. However, during this extended time of waiting I did some research and came up with Diatomaceous earth food grade as a natural treatment. Since I was in pain I figured it couldn't hurt anything to try it. I am now and have been pain free for a couple of months. I forgot to take it for a few days and the heel pain came back first. I know people think this isn't real, that its all in my head, or its just a scam to make money but I know pain. And I know my pain is gone. I still have my appointment with a specialist this coming Monday and I just don't know what to do. My husband says to go and just be honest about my experience. I post here today, not to recommend anyone else take DE, but to share my experience. I have also started giving small amounts to my elderly dogs and I see a difference in their energy levels and general vitality. Is anyone else using DE? I would love to hear from others. Jen

Hello Jen I took DE once to aid with food poisoning recovery. Tasted horrible. But it did the trick. I know diatomaceous earth is mainly used to heal the gut, especially if you have worms, parasites or leaky gut. It is also used as an alternative treatment for arthritis in people and pets. That is because it contains silica, which reduces inflammation and supports bone health. It probably has a bad reputation, as the other poisonous version, is used industrially and for getting rid of bed bugs and fleas. Best not to get the two versions confused eh! :) You could also take a collagen supplement and a fish oil supplement, to further reduce inflammation I occasionally get arthritis in my knees, and fish oil supplements always takes away the pain. Both my doctor and dermatologist condescendingly scoffed, when I said I was using diet and supplements to clear psoriasis, they said don't waste you time and money, as neither will work...........Both methods worked and cleared me. Therefore, if it works for you, and you can see and feel positive results, why on earth would you then think it was a scam? I am sure your specialist will talk you out of using it, or say its all in your head, but surely you know better than that, since you have actually experienced positive changes. So I suppose the question is, how did the appointment go?
