Hi all , I waited for 15 months for punch biopsy which finally happened at the end of June !
The dermatologist has just sent me a letter , stating my follow up appointment is in October !!
Has anyone had any good come out of a punch biopsy ?
I’ve started taking probiotics , magnesium , oooud oil and generally cutting out dairy , however no change in my P !
Hi Emma
Also cut down on Gluten and alcohol and try to be vegetarian. Drink plenty of water as well. All the best.

I have had my biopsy punch results back from the Dr , who I may add wasnt a specialist but gave me this . I have pitriasis ichenoides … Was wondering apart from googling the life out of it , if anyone had anymore insight into this ? My appointment with the specialist isn’t until October , any advice would help . Thanks
Posted Mon 18 Mar 2024 13.09 by Yogacherry - from Hastings, East Sussex Hello, I was diagnosed with guttate psoriasis October 2023, after symptoms began in May 2023. II am 60 and have just finished an MA.
My experience was that I had a punch biopsy to check for pitriasis ichenoides. But I in fact had guttate psoriasis. The first dermatologist I saw kept telling me "I don't know what you have"! After being told this after the punch biopsy result I phoned the surgery after my appointment and asked for a second opinion straight away. The lead derm said guttate psoriasis after looking at it for about 10 seconds!! My point, it is always worth getting a second opinion if you are not satisfied.
