Psoriasis on scalp and ears, still new to the diagnosis

Hi all,
Despite having it for a few years/life (I am22), I haven’t really gone to a dermatologist about it since the diagnosis (I also have eczema on my body but it isn’t as bad)
I am on steroid drops for direct application, not sure what it is called off the top of my head but can check if need be
What I want to know is how to help manage it? I want to try shampoos etc but I don’t want to give up dying my hair as I have dark ash brown hair, my scabs show up more on natural hair and it’s one of the ways I have been able to keep control of my appearance somewhat
I also have eczema cream I was told to use behind my ears too but now it’s moved into my ear canals and I was wondering if I should get something different
Some notes are that I am Australian so products need to be on Amazon or international
Also I am autistic so I have a hard time trying to communicate my thoughts and understand some things so please be patient

I've used a shampoo called Dermarest for a long time. I found the coal tar ones didn't work and smelled really bad. Any shampoo really with salicylic acid usually I think it says 2 or 3 % which helps to keep the plaque build up to a minimum. Also shampoos with tea tree just make it feel good. Hope this helps.

I've had good results with tea tree shampoo - stopped my scalp from from itching after a few days although I wasn't particularly flakey. Not sure if they're available in Australia but shampoos with CBD oil in have also worked for me. My current one is hemp, CBD, and tea tree.

I'm a big fan of the Neutrogena T-Gel. It's available in almost every chemist plus the bigger Coles and Woolies all stock it in the shampoo aisle. Comes in a white cardboard box and is near the medicated shampoos. Made in Oz, worth the spend. I use it a few times a week, and I don't use any other shampoo. If I get a flare I use it daily for a week or so. Have used it for decades. It does contain ingredients I'd avoid in other products, but it works so well to keep my scalp clear and itch free so I keep using it.
I understand your desire to colour your hair, but make sure you do it sensibly. Try and find a product that doesn't aggravate your scalp. If you already have, that's great! Be gentle, ask the hairdresser to be gentle as you want to avoid combing a scab off. Avoid colouring while your scalp is particularly aggravated. Avoid getting the hair products on the rest of your face and ears too! Loads of info online so just look up hair colouring with psoriasis!
As for the ears, you can use the creams inside your ears the same as outside, but I would get a doctor's advice if it's right in your ear where an earbud would sit to be safe.
It sounds like you're on the right track if you're already using some drops and creams to manage, but perhaps experiment with some better personal grooming products than what you're using. Hopefully someone else has some colour suggestions.
