Hello, i have been on Amgevita for 6 months. I inject every 2 weeks. My skin was clearing and i was happier with the way things were progressing, but in the last 2 weeks my skin seems to be deteriorating again, mainly 2 large patches on my legs above my ankles. Im so disappointed! Having being a victim of pso for 22yrs im worried this is the start of another treatment failing me. Has anyone else got any experience with Amgevita? Or had flare ups while on it? Any help/ advice/ suggestions would be much appreciated. Leanne x

Hi Leanne are you using other treatments along with Amgevita? It was indicated to me that I could continue to use my light lamp and even my old stash of diprosalic on any stubborn or flare up patches while having my fortnightly jabs. Regards Matt

I've been on it 6 months, turned my life around....suddenly my psoriasis flared back up and I'm regressing back slowly. I saw my consultant in February and he said give it another 3 months. The itching back and unbearable, I wondered how you got on ?
Im new to this forum thing, I'm just looking for answers.
Best Regsrds, Graham

Hi Graham
I'm at the 12 month mark now and thankfully still clear to the eye. However, over the last 3 months of using the new modified formula injections I have some rough patches and itching in the 2 - 3 days before my fortnightly injection. Do you have a light lamp or stock of diprosalic to use in conjunction with the injections? Regards M

Hiya, Thanks for replying.
No, I can't use any lamps at all, as my condition is the plantar pustulosis variant and only on the soles of my feet, the type of very thin skin, especially rising up the arches, reacted quite badly to all types of uv.
The consultant gave me Calcipotriol/Belamethasone ointment to use. That unfortunately just, sort of, irritated it and made the skin flare up and became very thin. It's a shame as for the first time in 6 years I could freely walk in shoes and start working again......unfortunately, as I mentioned, around Christmas time it just returned with a vengeance, it was stressful as my mother became very ill. I care for her so she doesn't go into a care home. It's for this reason my doctor suggested another 3 to 6 months. Perhaps the stress didn't help but to be honest it's almost back to square one, in fact it's showing on areas that originally weren't affected, the palm of my hands in particular.
I'm glad it's working for you, I initially thought it was amazing and I'd got my life back, you can imagine my disappointment.
I have heard that for some people, their immune system can in fact nullify this biologic, tends to be around the 6 month mark.
Anyway, appreciate your reply, hope it continues to work for you, good luck, Graham.
