Photosensitive psoriasis

Anyone else out there with photosensitive psoriasis? After years of my psoriasis getting worse in the summer and GPs telling me that this ‘shouldn’t happen’, I finally got diagnosed. This was a big relief but now I’m having trouble convincing my GP practice pharmacist that I am entitled to sunscreen on prescription. This is despite several letters from photodermatology consultants telling my GP practice that I need to be prescribed sunscreen. Anybody having similar experiences and/or advice? By the way, I’m sure photosensitive psoriasis is more common than statistics suggest because it is so poorly understood by GPs. So, if your skin seems to get worse in the summer, get it checked out!
