Elocon (mometasone) Ointment or Cream??

I saw a private dermatologist who prescribed a mix of Elocon (mometasone), Sebco, Elidel & Methotrexate in rotating usage, which has worked wonders (after a decade of literally getting nowhere with GP, because they DO NOT care & my towns referral pathways are somehow different to most others) Im now needing to purchase some Elocon, I was originally prescribed the ointment, which has a Vaseline consistency, I have some sensory issues as I’m a little Autistic lmao :’)) & have some OCD relating to dermatillomania & having greasy things on my skin makes me feel like I’m going crazy, I was wondering if anyone had an experience or advise with the cream version (I could cope with this) & if this would be suitable instead of the ointment?? I would ask my derm again, but I would have to pay another several hundreds pounds for a follow up appointment :,))) I don’t have the option of just emailing as I have been discharged for him care (he was EXCELLENT however, Dr Manu Shah, consultant derm with Spire Healthcare in Dewsbury branch)

I use Elecon cream (white, and it rubs in) and it has worked well for me. However, It is prescription-only in the UK. As for whether or not it would work for you just as effectively as the ointment, only trying it would tell you that.
