Is anyone else using Doublebase Gel as part of their routine?
I had a major flare up of psoriasis that started in April and was starting to get very serious, with active areas of plaque psoriasis over large areas of my body. I saw my GP last week and she suggested adding Doublebase Gel (DG) to my daily routine.
I already moisturise twice a day so have replaced one of those with DG and so far I do seem to have seen an improvement. At the very least most areas seem to be less uncomfortable.
I'm interested to know if anyone else has longer term experience of using DG.

I had an outbreak of guttate psoraiasis about 6.5 years ago after a hip replacement. The itching was intense.
I have posted several times on the topic.
I found Doublebase Gel to be the best thing to use that was not a coal-tar or a steroid based treatment. and in the 500ml pump-dispenser it was good value.
It is an emollient can be be used as often as you need or want.
You might also perhaps consider also Doublebase Dayleve Gel. This leaves a thin barrier on the skin and I found it even better than the standard version, a bit longer lasting if I was going out for the day.
I used Doublebase Gel multiple times a day - basically as soon as the itching became annoying m(or unbearable). I found it to be excellent, and recommend it.
My Mother was still in a care home at that time, age 98, and the staff there used Doublebase Gel to moisurise her legs and feet every day ( used it on all the residents ).

I had a bad flare up earlier this year as I reacted badly to my metformin(I’m type 2 diabetic) . Had psoriasis all my life but never a flare up like this. Tries all sorts, but using double base cream all the time and dermal soap both really helped. Now pretty clear again but still moisturising every day. When I saw dermatologist eventually I have plan if I flare up again, but will need uv an again . Other moisturiser I use are for hands and feet and this is hemp creams from the body shop. Good luck

Having suffered from Psoriasis (Plaque I Guess) for over 30 years I have been using Double base Gel for over ten years, along with periodic steroid ointments on the flare ups.
Strangely I do not suffer from any psoriasis issues on my arms, face and lower legs. In other words where I get daylight exposure. After many requests the latest dermatologist has listed me for UV treatment. But it is a 12 month wait !!!
The dermatologist also switched me from Doublebase Gel to Doublebase Once.
The improvement to my general dry skin condition is unreal, instead of wrinkly tissue paper skin, I have soft young persons skin, and the psoriasis patches are much calmer, but stubbornly remain.
I asked my GP for a repeat prescription and he had not heard of the ONCE derivative, but has now prescribed it for me. I would advise anyone finding Doublebase Gel not very effective to request a trial of Doublebase Once.
