Hi all,
I am new to this, so hope im doing it right. About 8 weeks ago i had a really bad case of tonsillitis. Around 2 weeks after having it, i started to notice loads of “droplets” of psoriasis all over my body and arms, which had continued to get worse but now seems to have slowed down. Ive had this before around 6 years ago. I think its guttate psoriasis and im wondering if anyone has had it before, and how they treated it? Its affected my self confidence a lot so hoping to get it sorted soon, or at least have it go away.

I have Guttate Psoriasis. 48 years now been suffering with it. The last time l had a flare up was in 2005 and l was covered from top to toe.
I ended up with UVB treatment at the hospital as all ointments etc didn't work for me.
The UVB worked a treat and within 3 months all gone.
I have just been ill for the last 10 weeks with stomach bugs, colds and sore throats resulting in a flare up. Mostly on my legs and some on my back.
Ive now purchased myself a UVB lamp as this is my only option. Not cheap but l picked one up secondhand and have now started treatment.
Sometimes it can clear on its on own. It would be worth you going to see your doctor.
I know what you mean about the self confidence. The way l’m looking at it at the moment is its cold winter weather and l’m covered up. Try and not to get stressed because it will make it worse.
The trouble is with this type of Psoriasis, if you have a lot and you get prescribed ointment it is such a tedious job applying it to every spot and it does take a while to start seeing results.
Also l would ask the doctor for some Doublebase Gel. It’s a great moisturiser if your skin is dry.
