I started taking Atorvastin in February last year and then 3 months later at the age of 69 had my first patch of psoriasis on my face. Has anyone else had this happen? It is the only thing I can think of that changed 😔

I was prescribed Atorvastatin around a year ago. It made no difference at all to my psoriasis which is currently only on my elbows (40 years ago it covered my entire body, but cleared with sunshine and coal tar).

I had extensive psoriasis well controlled on methotrexate for a couple of years. I started Atorvastatin and within a few weeks my psoriasis relapsed. I stopped the Atorvastatin and over the last month my psoriasis has come back under control.

Thank you for your responses, I have now been off Atorvastatin for 3 weeks and my psoriasis is definitely improving, I feel as though it is coming under control, my face still tingles in places but no patches on face now and medication reduced to twice a week 😊
